Usually twice a day we jumped into our charter jet and headed to another state. We averaged two states a day, five days a week. Then on weekends we would go back to New York with Ferraro.

The routine never varied. Take a motorcade to the airport, the secret service would check credentials and search all our luggage for explosives with a dog and a portable xray machine, and then off we went.
