Motorcade
Once the conventions were over I was
assigned to cover the Democratic team of Mondale and Ferraro.
This is a typical motorcade. Notice that the entire freeway has been
cleared of traffic. For five weeks I hardly saw another car as we
raced back and forth all over the country on empty freeways.
