Preparation for a mission began in the morning. A liquid nitrogen dewar is topping off the detector, while troubleshooting efforts go on behind us.

You can see some of the quick donning oxygen masks and noise canceling headsets we wore during a flight.

In flight the noise level in this part of the cabin was about +80 dB and it rose to over +100 dB at the back where the air compressors were.
