I was lucky enough to fly with the Snow Birds twice. We're second behind the lead in a 9-plane formation. Very few other teams fly a 9-plane formation. We were just as close as it looks here - about 10 feet from me to the bottom of the lead's aircraft. Not shown are the planes on either side and behind us!
