Muslim Fishing Village
This village in Phang Nga Bay is only precariously attached to the land. It's almost entirely built over the water on pilings and water must be brought in large drums from a neighboring island to the east. Some 400 people make their homes here and the village boasts a one room school and a mosque. Most residents make a living catching shrimp, crabs and fish for the local restaurants. We visited while touring the bay and had a thoroughly enjoyable time and a fabulous lunch.
