I've had 8 or 9 magazine articles published now - the first when I was just out of high school. I've always enjoyed creative writing and I get a kick out if telling an interesting story.

This article appeared in Broadcast Engineering Magazine and described NASA's Live From The Stratosphere project in which we originated three separate programs on the Public Broadcasting Television Network from the Kuiper Airborne Observatory while flying at 41,000 feet across the United States. It was a first in many ways and the technology we introduced helped to open up the 20 and 30 GHz microwave bands to commercial satellite users.

I'm proud of the part I played in this project, designing and building the television system aboard the KAO and also appearing in the broadcast. We also corresponded with school kids all across the country via the internet and my flight logs were published by NASA on their web.
