The London Eye is a huge 40-story tall Ferris Wheel. It was constructed horizontally on the Thames River in London to celebrate the Millinnium.

Here it is seen being slowly raised to the vertical position - a job that took many weeks. The London Eye was plagued with problems at first but now seems to be functioning as advertised.
