I designed and fabricated this transmitter using micro-stripline techniques. It consists of a power VCO controlled by a frequency synthesized phase lock loop and driven by an audio subcarrier generator. (The audio board piggybacks on top of this one.) Video is injected on the baseband. The transmitter also includes a dual-output switching power supply.

The transmitter PCB measures less than two inches on a side.

Even though this transmitter is the size of a cigarette pack it transmitted a color TV picture 56 miles from the roof of KTVU to their Loma Prieta ENG receive site during a test!
