HazCam, HeliCam, and RoverCam

I first thought of designing a rugged portable television system while covering the Cypress Freeway collapse for KTVU-TV.  53 people were crushed to death and more were trapped and dying.  Rescue personnel risked their lives crawling under hundreds of tons of unstable rubble looking for survivors.  I knew there had to be a safer way to search hazardous areas using technology...

By applying my expertise in portable video and audio transmission I felt that I could create a system that would be rugged, extremely easy to operate, and relatively inexpensive.  HazCam, HeliCam, and RoverCam were the result.
